Ranchi. A vigilance court Monday allowed former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda, jailed on corruption and money laundering charges, to attend the monsoon session of parliament.
Judge Vinay Kant Khan directed jail superintendent of central jail here to make necessary arrangements so that Koda could attend the Lok Sabha session that began Monday.
According to sources, Koda will be taken to New Delhi under tight security.
Koda is in jail since Nov 30. He was arrested in a disproportionate assets case by the vigilance bureau. The chargesheet accuses Koda of amassing assets 400 percent more than his known sources of income.
Koda is also the main accused in a Rs.2,500 crore money laundering scam.
