Ranchi. In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Jharkhand government has transferred 19 officials of Indian Administrative Services, including six newly promoted IAS officers.
Official sources today said these transfers were approved two days ago, but the notification was issued last night after the Election Commission's clearance.
According to the official notification, DC of Dhanbad Ajay Kumar Singh was posted as MNREGA Commissioner in Ranchi, while existing MNREGA Commissioner S K Barnbal would replace Mr Singh in Dhanbad with additional charges of Project Director, Jharia Rehabilitation Development Authority Settlement.
Project Director of Jharkhand Education Project Council Nitin Madan Kulkarni was transferred as new DC of Bokaro district, while Bokaro DC Satyendra Kumar Singh was transferred to Ranchi as Transport Commissioner.
Mr Praveen Shanker, a promotee IAS, had been shifted as Garhwa DC, while Garwah DC Vijay Bahadur Singh was shifted as IG (Prisons).
Another promotee IAS Ashok Kumar Mishra was made DC of Saraikela -Kharsawan district, while present Deputy Commissioner of Saraikela -Kharsawan Gauri Shankar Prasad was posted as Joint Secretary, Planning and Development department with additional charge as Director, State Institute for Rural Development.
East Singhbhum DC Ravindra Kumar Agarwal had been made the Additional Secretary of Urban Development department, while Lohardaga DC Himani Pandey would replace Mr Agarwal in Jamahsedpur. Ms Pandey would also hold the additional charge of Director, Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority.
Khunti DC Puja Singhal Purwar was transferred to Palamu in the same capacity with additional charge of Settlement Oofficer of the district.
Co-operative Societies Registrar Rajesh Kumar Sharma would replace Ms Purwar in Khunti.
Palamau DC Amitabh Kaushal was transferred as Project Director, JEPC, while Ramgarh DC Praveen Kumar Toppo was the new Tribal Welfare Commissioner.
Pakur DC Manish Ranjan, now away on a training stint, was shifted to the Industry department as Director.
Newly promoted IAS, Sunil Kumar Singh, was transferred to Pakur as DC, while Ganesh Prasad would replace Mr Toppo in Ramgarh.
Mr Ratan Kumar and Mr Shiv Shankar Tiwari were tarnsferred as Deputy Commissioners of Lohardaga and Koderma respectively.
A 1988 batch official of Post and Telecom, Finance and Account Services Sangeet Kumar was posted on deputation for three years as a Special Secretary, Finance department in the State government.
Besides, six more administrative officials of the State Public Service were transferred.
On July seven, the government transferred three IAS officers and gave additional charges to five others.
