Ranchi. The Jharkhand government Friday terminated the services of eight doctors who have been absent from their duties.

"Eight doctors have been terminated from their services for remaining absent and disobeying government orders," a statement said.

The eight doctors are Vijay Kumar Mishra, Dhananjay Singh, Srikant, Ajit Kumar, Manju Kumari, Nandini Kumari, Mohhamad Yusuf Ansari and Naveen Kumar Sinha.

They were posted in Garwah district and were absent despite warnings.

Meanwhile, disciplinary action has been taken against three doctors -- Anup Kumar Gupta, Shambhu Singh and Amanullah Ansari -- who have also been absent from their duties.
Five future increments of the three doctors were stopped, the statement said.
