Ranchi. The Indian Institute of Management - Ranchi (IIMR) has opened its innings in the state, with its first academic session beginning today.
Inaugurating the IIMR today, Governor M O H Farook said the institute was an addition to the glory of Jharkhand that already boasted of housing BIT, XLRI and mining college.
Mr Farook hoped the first batch would work hard to justify their enrolment in the prestigious institute and bring laurels to the country.
IIM Calcutta Director Prof Shekhar Chaudhuri, Chief Secretary A K Singh and Advisor to Governor Wifred Lakra were among others speaking on the occasion.
