Ingredients:- 250 gms. China (small brown Variety of gram), 2 tomatoes, 2 onions, 2 green chilies, ½ tsp. cumin seed powder, 1 tsp. coriander powder, ½ tsp. gram masala , ½ tsp. red chili powder, ½ cup curd, 1 large potato, ½ tsp. turmeric powder salt to taste, 1 tbsp. ghee, 1 tbsp. oil.
Making process:- Wash the channa and soak in enough water over night. Boil the channa, adding salt and cook till tender. Drain and keep aside. Slice the onion finely, chop tomatoes and green chillies.
Heat ghee and fry onions till lightly brown. Then add tomatoes, coriander and cummin seed powder, gram masala, turmeric and chillies, and cook till the ghee water and simmer for 5 minutes. Add curd and simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes.Dice the potato and fry the cubes in hot oil till brown. Add to the channa. Serve with puris.
