Ingredients:- 450 gms. Kabuli channa, 1 tsp. garam masala, 2 ripe tomatoes, 1-inch piece ginger, 1 lemon–size ball tamarind, ½ tsp. freshly ground pepper, 1 tsp. red chilli powder, 2 tsp. ground coriander seeds, 2 dry red chillies salt to taste, 2 tsp. ground cummin seeds (roasted), 2 tbsp. ghee
Making process:- Soak channa overnight. Next day wash in fresh water and cook in 4 cups water. Soak tamarind in ½ cup hop water. Add salt, coriander, cumin, garam masala, chilli powder, chopped tomatoes, finely chopped ginger and tamarind juice to the channa and cook till almost tender.
In a separate frying pan, fry the whole red chillies and add to channa are very tender. Sprinkle with black serve with hot puris.
